Tom Pidcock claimed victory on the third stage of the Arctic Race of Norway, a dramatic queen stage from Husøy to Målselv. The finale featured the punishing 3.7 km Fjellandsby climb, averaging 7.9% with ramps up to 13%. This marks Pidcock’s fifth win of the season and the 13th for the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team in 2025.

Unlike the rain-soaked opening stage, today brought blue skies and perfect racing weather. Riders traded rain jackets for short sleeves, and spirits were high. From the gun, all eyes were on Q36.5 and their leader Pidcock. A four-man breakaway went up the road early, but Frederik Frison — on his debut trip to Norway — took full control of the chase, setting tempo at the front of the peloton for nearly 140 km while soaking in the breathtaking fjord views from the best seat in the house.
As the race hit the decisive climb, the break was reeled in. Milan Vader set a fierce pace, shredding the lead group until only race leader Corbin Strong remained with Pidcock. At 1.2 km to go, Tom launched his attack. Strong responded, but in the final meters Pidcock surged again, sealing an emphatic win.

"After a long training block and time away from road racing, I feel the freshness coming back. Fred did an amazing job — 140 km at the front with no help — and the whole team was fantastic on the climb. This win belongs to them too."

“I’m obviously happy with the win, but we were aiming for the leader’s jersey today,” Pidcock said. “For a sprinter, Corbin rode incredibly well on the climb. Tomorrow will be a big stage — it’ll be tough to take the overall, but we’ll fight for it.

The Arctic Race of Norway concludes tomorrow with a 141 km circuit in Tromsø. Pidcock sits second overall, just six seconds behind Strong. With bonus seconds up for grabs, fans can expect a thrilling battle right to the final line.
