Q36.5 PRO CYCLING TEAM BOLSTERS SQUAD WITH THE SIGNING OF JANNIK STEIMLE

The 27-year-old all-rounder, Jannik Steimle, will join the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team in the upcoming season on a two-year deal, running through 2025. He will be the team’s first German rider in its ranks.

After several seasons at the WorldTour level and having achieved six victories as a professional, including GC wins at both the Tour de Slovaquie and Oberösterreichrundfahrt, Steimle brings a wealth of talent and experience to the team.

The German’s versatility and vast skill set across all terrains have seen him excel in a wide range of races, most notably in time trials, a specialty in which he has claimed three of his wins to date and has finished in the top 10 on 12 occasions.

Hailing from Stuttgart, Steimle’s determination and drive to succeed have enabled him to achieve important milestones in his four-year tenure at the WorldTour, including two stage wins at the Tour of Austria and victory at the one-day race, Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen.

Steimle shared his enthusiasm about joining Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, saying, “I’m really looking forward to start racing with Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. My decision to join the team was a really easy one. The team has great goals and I myself have high ambitions so I truly believe we will be a good fit. I really think I haven’t reached my full potential as a cyclist and I want to get back to winning races as I did in the past. The team is giving me the perfect chance to become that type of a rider in the next two years.”

Steimle’s prowess against the clock has yielded impressive results, and he’s eager to improve his time-trialing abilities and aim for further success in this discipline.

“I also want to invest in my time-trials as well.The classics are always a big dream of mine but I also feel I can be competitive in stage races that feature a decisive ITT. I’m really looking forward to joining the team and I believe it’s a step in the right direction. In this phase of my career I really want to go for it and target victories. I can’ wait to join the team and meet my new teammates!”  concluded Steimle.

Jannik Steimle is the team’s fifth new signing for 2024 after Giacomo Nizzolo, Frederik Frison, Rory Townsend and Xabier Mikel Azparren.
