Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team Secures Two-Year Contract Extension with Nick Zukowsky

Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team is thrilled to announce the contract extension of Canadian National Road Champion Nick Zukowsky, solidifying his position as a key rider for our Swiss-registered team for an additional two years.

Since joining Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team this year, 25-year-old Nick Zukowsky has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship both on and off the bike. In June, Nick claimed the 2023 Canadian National Road Champion title and will wear the iconic Maple Leaf jersey throughout the next 12 months.

Despite wrestling with early season illness, Nick had solid performances during the spring and represented the team in multiple breakaways whilst supporting teammates in other key races. At the Tour de Suisse Nick wore the Mountains jersey and, more recently, was one of the 50 riders who successfully finished the gruelling Men’s Elite Road Race at the UCI World Championships.

His relentless dedication to the sport and unwavering commitment to pushing the limits align seamlessly with the team’s values and goals.

“I really want to be a part of this journey and couldn’t be happier!”

“I’m super happy and excited to be staying with Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team for an extra two years, and hopefully longer. I appreciate so much the people behind this team, they’re all so passionate and everyone is giving their 100% and I want to do the same and, hopefully, help the team grow. I really want to be a part of this journey and couldn’t be happier,” said Zukowsky.

“So far we’ve had an amazing race calendar. At the start of the season I got to do the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. When I got into cycling those were races I dreamed of doing one day and to actually be part of them this year was exceptional. Although I had a rough start to the season with illness, I kept believing and working hard and now I’m seeing the fruits of my labour having won the Canadian National Road Champion title. We have some exciting races to go this season and in the future one of my goals is to get to do a Grand Tour with this team, hopefully with the Maple Leaf jersey.”

Development and ambition

“We are absolutely delighted to extend Nick Zukowsky’s contract with our team. Nick has proven himself to be an invaluable asset to Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, embodying the spirit of dedication and teamwork that we hold dear,” said Doug Ryder, Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team General Manager.“Nick is a versatile, consistent rider and his performance throughout this season has continuously impressed us. He won the first National Champion Jersey for our ProTeam and we are excited to witness his continued growth and achievements over the next two years.”

This exciting extension underscores Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team’s commitment to nurturing and showcasing top cycling talent, while also ensuring continuity and consistency in their pursuit of excellence. The team is eager to continue supporting Nick as he embarks on new challenges and sets his sights on even greater accomplishments.

The contract extension of Nick Zukowsky is the third renewal for the team this season after the extension with Italians Walter Calzoni and Gianluca Brambilla.
