Embracing CORE: Carles Tur’s Pioneering Approach with CORE Training Techniques

Carles has been an early adopter of the CORE technology, having integrated it into our training regimen since its launch in August 2020. He recognized its potential in understanding the intricate physiology of our athletes, particularly in challenging hot environments.

Beyond our team, Carles has also employed the CORE device in his work with the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The device was instrumental in acclimatizing the sailors, ensuring they were in peak condition to face the heat during the competition.
A significant part of our discussion revolved around how Carles sets individual temperature thresholds for each of our athletes.

He meticulously observes the impact of temperature on performance, skin temperature response, and the athlete’s subjective sensation. Tools like the Heat Strain Index and Heat Strain Score have been invaluable in this process.
