Marcel Camprubí Extends with Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team
Catalan rider Marcel Camprubí has extended his contract with the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team for another two seasons. The 23-year-old began his professional cycling career with the team in 2023, transitioning from triathlon. This season, Marcel raced his first two Monuments—Paris-Roubaix and Liège-Bastogne-Liège—and took on his first WorldTour stage race at the Tour de Suisse.

“The first year was hard, but I learned a lot,” said Marcel Camprubí. “In the second year, I started applying what I had learned. It wasn’t always easy, but I began to see my potential and believe in myself. This year, everything is coming together: riding big races and helping Tom. Now I want to learn how to finish races well, to arrive at the finish for a result, to be consistent, and to show up at races at my best level—learning even better how my body works and how to be there when I need to be.”
Relatively new to road racing, Marcel has found the ideal environment for growth at Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. His dream? To one day win on Montjuïc, in his hometown of Barcelona.
“This team truly feels like family,” he continued. “In my first year, it wasn’t always easy going to races because everything was new, hard, and sometimes even scary. But now, I always look forward to racing—spending time with teammates and staff. The dream for the next seasons is to learn and win a race. This is the perfect place for me to do that.”

Sports Director Alex Sans Vega praised Marcel’s progression and expressed confidence in his continued development:
“We’re happy to continue with Marcel. The beginning wasn’t easy, since he was so new to the sport. He did many hard races in Belgium and gave his all. It’s amazing how quickly he picked up racing skills, tactics, and positioning. He really pushes himself to improve and is never shy to ask for help—that’s how he grows.”
“This year, he showed strong form at the Tour of Hellas, and his support in the Ardennes was fantastic. At Tour de Suisse, his first WorldTour stage race, he performed well and learned a lot. The next two years will be more focused on results. Marcel is versatile—he excels on short, punchy climbs and in races with repeated efforts. We’ll also develop him further for one-day races. He’s a great presence: speaks English well, has a positive attitude, and is always eager to learn.”
Marcel is one of several riders who turned professional with Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. Rider development remains a key focus for the team and for Sans Vega personally:
“I love our approach to development. We helped Walter Calzoni, Fabio Christen, Nicoló Parisini, and Marcel turn pro. At the Tour of Slovenia, we dictated the race with these riders—ones we developed ourselves. That makes me proud and happy.”
